Review System 1.0 Explained!

Here is an example of how reviews will work:

There are four aspects that we will look for in toys: Design, Playability, Durability and Value. Here is a little explanation:

Design: The overall look and feel of the toy will be graded. For toys such as “DX Henshin Belts”, we will judge them base on how accurate it is compared to the show while other toys like H.G.C.O.R.E, we will go in to more detail such as paint job and the modelling of the figure.

Playability: Toys for the most part is meant to be played with so this is one of the most important aspects we look for. Once again for “DX Henshin” items, the Playability will be measured by how many features the toy has and other gimmicks. Playability for other toys such as S.I.C will be graded upon how well the articulation is.

Durability: Durability is important for all us toy collectors out there. Sadly, a lot of toys don’t last the “whips and scorns of time”. We will specifically look at how strong joints are and how solid the paint job is.

Value: I assume you all know that most of these toys are expensive since they are, well, collectibles. I know we all want to get our moneys worth so here at JH Toys we want to make sure you do! We will do our best to judge the toy in terms of their value. We will sum up all the toy’s pros and cons to see if it is worth that price tag so next time you will know if that gashapon is really worth your ¥100!

All four of these aspects will be graded with 5 stars. 5 stars being the best and 0 stars being the worst. Half stars are also granted in certain cases. All of these stars will be added up to form a percentage. This percentage will be followed up with a description based on its respective marks, which are listed here:

  • 100%: Perfect Masterpiece
  • 90% – 95%: Masterpiece
  • 80% – 85%: Great
  • 70% – 75%: Good
  • 60% – 65%: Average
  • 50% – 55%: Okay
  • 40% – 45%: Poor
  • 0%  – 35%: Horrible

So there you have it, our Review System explained!
